A delegation of farmers from Roopa Naik Gram Panchayat in Vajrakarur Mandal (Anantapur District) is participating in the Maha Kisan Mela (Great Farmers' Fair), organized under the Dharti Ab Jagruti Grameena Utkarsh Abhiyan scheme.
The three-day event is scheduled to take place on the 3rd and 4th of December in Hyderabad, the capital city of Telangana state.
Farmers participating in the program are traveling via special buses. The Assistant Director of Agriculture (ADA), Satyanarayana, along with the National Leader of the Banjara Association, S. Keshava Naik, flagged off the buses with a green flag, symbolizing the journey.
The send-off program was attended by ADA Satyanarayana, AO Madhukar, former Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) member Tulasidas Naik, and representatives of the Banjara Association, including S.K. Subrahmanyam Naik, P. Valya Naik, M. Venkatesh Naik, and V. Narasimha Naik. Staff from the Agriculture Department and RSK, including Mohan Naik and Ramakrishna Naik, also participated.
