Big Shock to YSRCP in Kalyandurg

Kalyandurg: Several senior YSRCP leaders joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the presence of Kalyandurg MLA Amilineni Surendra Babu, citing development works and positive governance.

Senior YSRCP leader Kuruba Donaswamy, Vepalaparthi MPTC Nagabhushan, Kanukooru Ravi, Polepalli Vadde Thimmappa, and Pobbarlapalli Anand resigned from YSRCP and formally joined TDP by wearing the party scarf at a public meeting. The leaders arrived in a massive bike rally along with their supporters.

Speaking on the occasion, Donaswamy said that despite working for Congress and YSRCP for nearly 30 years, they were denied due recognition and respect within the party. He stated that favoritism and neglect of grassroots leaders forced them to leave YSRCP. Impressed by the development works and people-friendly approach of MLA Amilineni Surendra Babu, they decided to join TDP and work collectively to strengthen the party.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Amilineni Surendra Babu alleged that during the YSRCP regime, substandard liquor was supplied indiscriminately, ruining many families. He accused YSRCP leaders of encouraging illegal belt shops and Karnataka liquor sales in villages. He further alleged that liquor distribution was handled through party-controlled distilleries with cash-only collections, benefitting former Chief Minister Jagan.

The MLA also accused former ministers of falsely implicating even their own party workers, including farmer Donaswamy, by planting peacock meat in his fields and sending him to jail.

He assured that equal importance would be given to all communities in Kalyandurg constituency and announced plans to establish Ambedkar Circle, NTR Circle, Balija Kalyana Mandapam, Sri Krishna Bhavan, along with facilities for other communities in the coming days.

Party leaders urged all cadres to work unitedly to strengthen TDP and ensure victory in the upcoming local body elections.

The event was attended by Mandal Party President Golla Venkatesulu, Municipal Chairperson Talari Gowthami Somashekar, Market Yard Chairperson Golla Lakshmidevi Ramesh, senior leaders, mandal leaders, and party workers.
