Today marks the 30th death anniversary of the legendary people's warrior and revolutionary, Dasari Venkat (alias Haribhushan). Tributes are being paid to honor his legacy of fighting for the marginalized and opposing feudal oppression. The event commemorates his ideals following his passing on December 29, 1995.
Life Highlights and Revolutionary Struggle
* Naxalite Movement: He played an active role in the Naxalite movement, standing firmly by the side of Dalit-Bahujans who were victims of feudal oppression and fighting for the rights of the poor.
* Ideals and Vision: He dedicated his life to the struggle against caste discrimination, the protection of laborers' rights, and the pursuit of equality. He dreamed of and worked toward the establishment of a Socialist-Communist government.
* Everlasting Legacy: Although he is no longer physically present, his thoughts and ideals remain alive in the hearts of the people.
On this solemn occasion, revolutionary salutes were offered under the red flag with slogans of "Joharlu Jai Bhimlu". To further highlight the revolutionary spirit, a portrait of the renowned people's singer Gaddar was also displayed during the program.
