The speakers noted that every year, on November 11, the nation observes his birthday as National Education Day. They specifically recalled Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s invaluable contributions to India's education system.

Birth and Names: Speakers stated that Maulana was born in Mecca in 1888 on November 11. His original name was Mohiuddin Ahmed, while 'Abul Kalam' was a title and 'Azad' was his pen name.
Role in Freedom Struggle: They mentioned that he was one of the key leaders in India's freedom struggle and a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi.
Foundation of Education System: Speakers affirmed that the credit for laying the strong foundation of the country's education policy as the first Education Minister of independent India (from 1947 to 1958) belongs to Maulana.
Establishment of Premier Institutions: They lauded that due to his foresight, higher education institutions like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) were established in the country.
