Tirupati: A warm felicitation ceremony was grandly organized on 12-11-2025 at Sri Balaji Kalyana Mandapam in Tirupati to congratulate Smt. Nishida Raju on her appointment as the new President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State Mahila Morcha. Thousands of women activists from various districts across the state attended the event in large numbers.
State and Central Leaders as Chief Guests
Key BJP state-level leaders attended the program and extended their best wishes to Smt. Nishida Raju. The chief guests included State President Sri PVN Madhav, Union Minister for Heavy Industries Sri Bhupati Raja Srinivasa Varma, Sri Somu Veeraju, and Sri Paka Satyanarayana.
Mahila Morcha leaders, including State Vice President Smt. Bollina Nirmala, State General Secretary Smt. Salagramam Lakshmi Prasanna, Smt. Mullapudi Renuka, and Smt. Geetha, also attended the meeting and congratulated the new President.
Focus on Women's Reservation and Organizational Elections
On this occasion, the women leaders spoke about the provision of 33% reservation for women in legislatures. They appealed to all women to become aware to avail the benefits of the reservation and also urged them to actively participate in the party's organizational elections. Leaders expressed confidence that Smt. Nishida Raju's leadership would play a crucial role in strengthening the Mahila Morcha.
From the combined Anantapuram district, Smt. Daggupati Soubhagya Sriram, along with activists and other Mahila Morcha members, heartily congratulated the new President and assured their complete cooperation for the expansion of the party in the state.
