Uravakonda, November 23 (News):
The Eighth Annual Anniversary Celebrations and Chandi Homa Mahotsavam of Sri Chakra Sahita Sri Sri Sri Durgabhavani Ammavari Temple, located near the Fire Station in Uravakonda town, are set to take place with great grandeur on Monday and Tuesday (November 24th and 25th). The Temple Committee and the Bhavani Bhakta Mandali members have released the details of the event.
🗓️ Program Schedule:
* Monday (24-11-2025): Starting from 5:00 PM in the evening, Ganapathi Pooja, Punyahavachanam, Navagraharadhana, and Kalasha Sthapana will be followed by Ganapathi, Navagraha, Rudra, and Lalitha Homas, performed according to scriptural tradition. Light refreshments will be served at 8:30 PM.
* Tuesday (25-11-2025): Before sunrise in the early morning, Suprabhata Seva will be offered to the Goddess, followed by special Abhishekam using various sacred substances and Panchaamrutam (five nectars). At 9:00 AM, the 'Sri Maha Chandi Yagam' (Chandi Homam), Poornahuti (final offering), and special Alankaram (decoration) to the Goddess will be performed.
🍛 Annadanam and Gramotsavam:
A large-scale Annasantharpana (Mass Feeding), also known as Narayana Seva, has been arranged in the temple premises at 12:45 PM on Tuesday afternoon. Following this, the Gramotsavam (procession) of the Utsava Murthy (processional deity) of Sri Durgabhavani Ammavaru will be carried out through the main streets of Uravakonda at 4:45 PM, promising a festive sight for the eyes.
The divine rituals will be conducted by the team of Vedic scholars led by Sri Phani Swamy. The priests informed that participation in these homams will help in the Nivritti (alleviation) of Kuja Dosha, Kalasarpa Dosha, and Rahu Ketu Dosha. Therefore, the Temple Committee has requested all devotees to participate in this grand festival, receive Theertha Prasadam, and be blessed by the grace of the Goddess.
