Principal Shashavali Transforms Women's College: The 'Never Say Die' Spirit

Uravakonda True Times India, October 8:

Principal Shashavali is the true embodiment of the Sanskrit maxim, "Janani Janmabhoomiśhcha Swargadapi Gariyasi" (Mother and Motherland are superior to Heaven). This educator, who rose from the rank of a teacher to a Principal, is renowned for overhauling the places he has served, winning the hearts of both students and parents. He is now bringing a new splendour to the Women's College in Uravakonda.

From Green School to Higher Heights

A testament to Principal Shashavali's dedication is the Nerimetla High School where he previously worked. He was instrumental in upgrading the school from an Upper Primary facility to a High School, and the credit for transforming it into a 'Green School' goes to him. He is now channeling the same passion for development and social consciousness into the Women's College.

Solving Traffic Woes: Two New Gates Installed

The Women's College was facing a critical infrastructure issue. Students from the High School, Girls' College, and Boys' College were all forced to use a single entry point, leading to severe traffic congestion and inconvenience.

Recognizing the students' hardship, Shashavali immediately focused on installing additional gates. Without delay, he approached the parents of a former student, and with the financial assistance of Shaiksha Vali of Vidapanakal (father of student Roshan), two new gates were procured and the installation work was undertaken on a war footing.

'No Stopping' in Facility Development

Shashavali didn't stop at just the gates; he is resolutely moving forward to meet all the college's needs:

 * Stage Construction: He identified the need for a stage for cultural events and, with the support of donor Narra Kesanna, initiated the foundation work for a new stage on the college grounds.

Laboratory Solution: To address the critical shortage of classrooms, especially for laboratories, he approached the High School Headmaster and secured the temporary allocation of four rooms. This effectively ended the immediate laboratory space crisis.

 * Water and Dining: An RO plant was installed to meet the students' drinking water needs. Furthermore, he sought assistance from the Sathya Sai Trust and requested the construction of a veranda to serve as a dining hall (Bhojanashala). Impressed by Shashavali's social dedication, the Trust members gave the 'green signal' for the construction.

Aiming for a Model College

While efforts to secure funding from organizations like RDT (Rural Development Trust) for permanent room construction are underway, they are currently facing technical delays. Despite these hurdles, Principal Shashavali remains highly regarded in Uravakonda as a development-oriented and socially conscious educator.

He confidently states, with a "never say die" spirit, that his sole aim is to transform this women's college into a Model College. Local residents are optimistic that if Principal Shashavali's resolve continues, the Uravakonda Women's College will soon shine as a premier educational institution.
