Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Attends Sri Arvedu Patnam Peddayya Swamy Jaldee Puja & Yellamma Sagu Mahotsavam in Tadimarri

 Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Sri Satya Kumar Yadav participated in the grand celebrations of “Sri Arvedu Patnam Peddayya Swamy Jaldee Puja and Yellamma Sagu Mahotsavam” held at Tadimarri in Anantapur district. The event witnessed the participation of thousands of devotees and villagers from Tadimarri and surrounding areas.

Extending his heartfelt greetings to all devotees, families, and well-wishers, Minister Satya Kumar Yadav highlighted the spiritual and cultural significance of this traditional festival. He said such festivals reflect the rich traditions, unity, and collective strength of rural communities. The Minister further mentioned that these sacred celebrations not only uphold age-old customs but also help the younger generation understand the cultural heritage and social harmony embedded in them.

During the event, the Minister offered special prayers to Peddayya Swamy and Yellamma Ammavaru, seeking the blessings of Lord Varuna for timely rains and abundant harvests for farmers. The rituals included Ankurarpanam, Kalyanotsavam, and Poornahuti, performed with great devotion and discipline. The entire village atmosphere was filled with devotion, music, and cultural vibrancy.

The celebrations also featured traditional rural sports and cultural performances, including palle natakalu (folk dramas), eggadi pandem (bullock cart races), and community feasts, which brought together people from various villages, strengthening bonds of friendship and brotherhood. Minister Yadav appreciated the local organizers and villagers for keeping these customs alive and promoting social unity through such inclusive events.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Andhra Pradesh is known for its deep-rooted traditions and devotional fervour, and festivals like this one remind people of the state’s spiritual richness and agricultural spirit. He urged everyone to continue preserving such festivals as they nurture collective faith, environmental awareness, and respect for nature’s cycles.

The Tadimarri Sagu Mahotsavam thus stood as a symbol of devotion, cultural unity, and community welfare, spreading a message of peace, prosperity, and divine blessings across the region.
