Political 'Eclipse': Street Light Remains Dark in Amidhyala – Colony Residents in Peril

Uravakonda: The tale of a single street light in Amidhyala village, Uravakonda area, has become a stark symbol of local political squabbling and official negligence. Despite years of appeals, the street light at the village's main junction remains non-functional, sparking intense anger among the locals. Even though the electric pole is present, the area lacks proper lighting or the damaged light has not been repaired.

The Blame Game: "An Eclipse Over the Light"

Residents are vocal about their belief that a local political deadlock is the reason the light remains unlit.

 * Lack of Accountability: If the Sarpanch is questioned about the light, he blames the Lineman. When the Lineman is approached, he points the finger back at the Sarpanch. This continuous passing of responsibility means the light never gets fixed.

 * Alleged Official Fear: Locals allege that officials are hesitant to install or repair the light due to an unusual fear that doing so might "cause problems with their duties."

Fear of Snakes, Scorpions... The Colony in Darkness

Due to the absence of the street light, the Amidhyala colony area plunges into complete darkness at night. This lack of light is causing several problems for the residents:

 * Venomous Creatures: Locals, especially children, are terrified as snakes, scorpions, and other venomous creatures roam freely in the dark.

 * Travel Hardships: Night travel has become extremely difficult, increasing the risk of accidents from lack of visibility.

Public Demand

The people of Amidhyala are firmly demanding an end to the "attitude of the officials who ignore the issue for years." They urge the District Officials to intervene immediately and ensure the street light is either installed or repaired immediately, so that the light shines again.
