Police Dedicated to Internal Security: Martyrs' Day Celebrated Grandly in Uravakonda

Uravakonda october 21:

Police Martyrs' Commemoration Day was celebrated grandly in Uravakonda on Tuesday (October 21) to remember the sacrifices of police personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty, tirelessly striving for national defense, internal security, and maintaining law and order.

The patriotism, commitment, and dedication of the police were highly praised. Local police, students, and public representatives participated in large numbers to pay tribute to the martyrs.

Rally and Commemoration Ceremony

As part of the Police Martyrs' Commemoration Day event, a parade was held at the local Police Ground. Following the parade, a large rally, including students (both girls and boys), proceeded from the local Police Station to the Tower Clock Junction. Officials addressed the gathering at the commemoration meeting held at the Tower Clock Junction.

Highlights of the Program:

 * Gopal Recalls History: Senior Electrician Current Gopal explained the reason for celebrating October 21 as Police Martyrs' Commemoration Day every year. He recalled that on October 21, 1959, more than 20 personnel of the Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), stationed at 'Hot Springs' in Ladakh near the China border, were ambushed and suddenly attacked by Chinese soldiers. Ten Indian police officers were martyred in this brutal attack. This day has been observed as Commemoration Day since 1960 to honor their sacrifices.

 * Tributes to Martyrs: Uravakonda Police Circle Inspector Mahanandi read out the names of all the police personnel martyred across the country. He led the parade, offered a guard of honor, and paid floral tributes.

 * Family Welfare: CI Mahanandi stated that the families of the martyrs would be honored, and the government would undertake welfare measures for their well-being.

 * Inspiring Dedication: Uravakonda Sub-Inspector Janardhan Naidu mentioned that it is their responsibility to inspire patriotism, commitment to duty, and social service among young police officers and the public. He noted that they organized cycle rallies, open house programs (where the public visited police stations), and essay writing competitions as part of this effort.

Officials stated that the entire nation remembers the service of the police, who are constantly working for internal security and peace.

Local police personnel, including Gurikala Shivaprasad, college lecturers, students, and staff, participated in the program.
