Anantapur District, Vajrakarur Mandal, Chabala: October 17:
On the occasion of the reopening of the local Sri Sri Darga Vannooru Swamy Temple in Chabala village, the family members of the late Chelluru Thirupal Setty and his wife Visalamma made a huge donation to the temple. On Friday morning at 8:30 AM, their sons, Nagaraju and Viswanath, handed over land worth ₹2.30 lakh to the temple elders. The land, located in Survey Number 234-D in their garden on Dharmapuri Road in the village, was donated.
The land was presented to the temple elders—Shivalingappa, Kare Dhanunjayya, and Kare Paramesh—by the family members. The Temple Committee grandly honoured the generosity of the donors. The temple elders thanked the donors by presenting them with shawls, garlands, and a Darga memento.
Family members of the donors, villagers, and devotees participated in large numbers in the programme, making the temple's reopening ceremony a success.
