Guntakal Revenue Division, October 27: Stating that the neglect by the Vidadapanakallu A.P. Model School Girls' Hostel Warden is bringing disrepute to the Coalition Government, which is currently leading Andhra Pradesh towards development, S. Hari Prasad Yadav, Member of the Guntakal Revenue Divisional SC/ST Vigilance and Monitoring Committee, appealed to the District Collector through the media for immediate action against the Warden.
Students' Distress
Hari Prasad Yadav stated that he had received numerous complaints from parents regarding the issues faced by students at the Vidadapanakallu A.P. Model School Girls' Hostel over the past few days. Based on these complaints and media reports, he personally visited the hostel on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in the afternoon.
* Warden's Absence: He noted that the Warden was not on duty when he arrived. Consequently, he had to inquire about the students' problems from outside the gate.
* Substandard Food: The students expressed their distress, particularly about not being served enough food, and that the chicken provided was watery and limited to just two pieces.
* Threats: The girls complained that when they questioned the quality of the food, the Warden would verbally abuse them using vulgar language.
* Lack of Facilities: They reported that the toilets and sinks in the hostel were blocked, and the CCTV cameras were non-functional, despite being installed.
* Safety Concerns: The students voiced their fear, saying that the lack of a compound wall for the hostel forces them to live in constant anxiety, especially during the nights.
* Staff Negligence: The girls lamented that the Warden and the Part-Time Teacher come and go as they please, day or night, and that they are "living in hell."
Warden's Evasion
Hari Prasad Yadav explained that he tried to contact the Warden multiple times during his visit. On one occasion, the Warden answered the phone and gave an irresponsible reply: "I am not available; please come some other time."
Bringing Disrepute to the Government
Strongly demanding immediate action, he requested the Honourable District Collector through the media to take necessary steps against the Warden, whose actions are damaging the reputation of the TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP Coalition Government. Anganwadi Teachers also participated in this meeting.
