Woman Dies by Suicide After Fear of Ants.

In a tragic incident, a woman named Chindam Manisha (25) from Navya Homes Colony under Ameenpur Police Station limits in Sangareddy district died by suicide after allegedly being terrified of ants.

According to CI Naresh, Manisha had been suffering from myrmecophobia—an intense fear of ants—since childhood.

She was married to Srikanth (35) in 2022, and the couple had a three-year-old daughter, Annika. While her husband was away on duty, Manisha reportedly hanged herself from a ceiling fan using a saree at home.

A note found at the scene read:

"I am sorry. Be careful about everything. Offer ₹1116 in the donation boxes at Annavaram and Tirupati temples, and don’t forget to offer rice to Ellamma."

Police have visited the spot and initiated an investigation into the incident.
