Promise Unfulfilled Even After 18 Months
C. Nagaraju, District Secretary of AIKMS, stated that hundreds of poor people belonging to SC, ST, BC, and Minority communities in Kanekal Mandal centre and K. Kothapalli village depend entirely on daily wage labour and do not possess their own house sites. He recalled that the current coalition government had promised to grant house sites—3 cents in rural areas and 2 cents in urban areas—to the destitute during their election campaign.
Expressing concern, he pointed out that although approximately 18 months have passed since the government came into power, this crucial promise remains unfulfilled.
Submission of Applications and Documents
Due to the delay in implementation, the leaders informed that they have collected applications from all eligible poor individuals for house sites. Subsequently, petitions containing the applications, photocopies of Aadhaar cards, Ration cards, and passport size photographs were handed over to the Deputy MRO.
The AIKMS leaders requested the Deputy MRO to immediately upload all the submitted applications online, review them, and grant house site pattas to every eligible person without further delay.
The program was attended by AIKMS Anantapur District Secretary C. Nagaraju, Committee members Mallayya, Linganna, IFTU leader Chikanna, PDSU District Vice President Mallela Prasad, and others.
