Constitution Day Celebrations in Uravakonda: Participation of Ghous Saheb, Vannoor Saab, and Others

Uravakonda (Anantapur District):

On the occasion of the completion of 76 years since the adoption of the Indian Constitution, the cornerstone of the democratic system, Senior Electrician and prominent social worker Gopal called on every citizen to understand the rights and duties bestowed by the Constitution. Constitution Day celebrations were held grandly in Uravakonda on Wednesday (November 26, 2025).

The Constitution is a Sacred Text

Addressing the gathering as the Chief Speaker, Gopal stated that by adopting the Indian Constitution on November 26, 1949, our country emerged as a Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic Republic.

 * "The Indian Constitution is not just a book of laws; it is a sacred text for the progress and social justice of our nation," Gopal emphasized.

 * He noted that the Constituent Assembly, led by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, did remarkable work, and it is the responsibility of all of us to celebrate this day as Constitution Day.

 * Spirit of the Pledge: He made the attendees take a pledge to adhere to the values of equality, freedom, and fraternity granted by the Constitution, thereby safeguarding the integrity and unity of the nation.

Participation of Panchayat Secretary and People's Representatives

Speaking at the event, Ghous Saheb, the Village Secretary of Uravakonda Panchayat, stated that the government machinery is committed to vigorously implementing constitutional rules and administrative duties.

The celebrations were also attended by MPTC Member Vannoor Saab, Ward Member Niranjan Goud, and notable personalities like Lenin Babu, who remembered the importance of the Constitution. On the occasion of Constitution Day, participants took a pledge and paid homage by garlanding the portrait of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
