Kurnool: (October 13, 2025): Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Kurnool in the Rayalaseema region on October 16, the 'Kurnool High Court Sadhana Samithi' has called for a crucial three-day action plan. The Samithi described the events, scheduled from October 13 to 16, as "highly proactive."
Primarily, the Samithi is preparing to submit a petition to PM Modi demanding the establishment of the principal High Court in Kurnool, Rayalaseema, as per the historic 'Sri Bagh Pact' of November 16, 1937.
Demand for Irrigation Projects:
In addition to the High Court demand, the Samithi will also request the immediate construction of the Vedavathi Project, Gundrevula Project, and Sidheshwaram Alugu (weir/sluice), all deemed critical for the development of the Rayalaseema region.
Call to Advocates - Application for Permission to Collector and SP:
Today (October 13, 2025), the 'Kurnool High Court Sadhana Samithi' is submitting an application to the District Collector and Superintendent of Police (SP) seeking permission to meet the Prime Minister. In this context, the Samithi has made an impassioned appeal to all advocates, advocates of all political parties, and legal cell advocates in Kurnool district.
"Considering this as a collective effort, without any negative thoughts, all advocates of Kurnool district must assemble near the District Court by 12 noon today," the Samithi requested. The Samithi urged all advocates to unite, submit the petition for permission to meet the Prime Minister to the Collector and SP, and voice their demands today.
