As part of this initiative, 13,500 saplings were distributed to 35 farmers and planted across 98 acres of land. Economically beneficial saplings such as Mahogany, Red Sandalwood, Coconut, and Chini (Sweet Lime) were provided to the farmers, who have also been entrusted with the responsibility for their care and protection.Forest Beat Officer Mr. Satish Kumar and Save Trees Program Manager Mr. D. Peeravali attended the event as chief guests. They stated that this plantation drive would not only help protect the environment but also provide a sustainable income for rural farmers. Following the plantation, an awareness session was held for the farmers on water management, plant care, and the benefits of carbon projects.
Members of the Save Trees field team, including Babu Naik, N. Sumanth, and B. Guruprasad, along with village committee members and local farmers, participated enthusiastically in the event.
