APTF Forms New Mandal Committee, Demands Resolution of Teacher Issues

, October 24: The Andhra Pradesh Teachers Federation (APTF) held a general body meeting at the local Government High School, where a new Mandal Committee was reconstituted. The meeting was overseen by District Vice President Bhaskar, Mandal President Panduranga, and General Secretary BC Obanna.

New Committee Elected

Bhaskar served as the Election Officer for the meeting. The following new office bearers for the Mandal Committee were elected:

Key Demands Raised by APTF

The meeting focused on discussing the major problems faced by teachers and employees. APTF leaders strongly demanded that the government immediately address the following key issues:

 * Release of DA Arrears: Pending Dearness Allowance (DA) arrears must be released immediately.

 * Resolution of CPS Issues: Problems related to the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS), including the government's matching grant, must be resolved immediately.

 * TET Exemption: Teachers and employees working in private and government schools must be given exemption from the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).

 * Regularization of 2003 DSC Teachers: Teachers appointed through the 2003 District Selection Committee (DSC) who are currently in service must be regularized immediately.

Leaders Vow Action

Several senior APTF leaders participated in the meeting, including B.C. Babu (President), B. Chandrasekhar, M. Srinivasan, Y.B. Chowdary, and T. Gopal. BC teacher leaders like T. Vishnu, T. Vimal, and D. Pauluranga also voiced their concerns.

APTF leaders warned that if the government fails to resolve these issues, the union will intensify its protest activities in the future.
