Complaint Filed with Minister Payyavula Keshava Against Panchayat Secretary and CI Over Corruption

TDP Activist and MRPS Leader Meets Finance Minister in Uravakonda

Uravakonda, October 30: A complaint seeking action against the alleged corruption and irregularities of the Uravakonda Major Gram Panchayat Secretary, Ghouse, and CI (Circle Inspector) Mahanandi, was submitted to Finance Minister Payyavula Keshava on Thursday. The complaint was filed by Meenuga Madhubabu, a TDP activist, MRPS leader, and District RTI Act Secretary.

The Finance Minister, Payyavula Keshava, conducted a whirlwind tour of several streets in the town on Thursday, during which he received grievances from the public. Madhubabu met the Minister personally during this tour to present his concerns.

Allegations of Political Bias and Corruption

Madhubabu alleged that the Gram Panchayat Secretary, Ghouse, and the CI, Mahanandi, are loyalists of the YSRCP party and are acting as their cronies. He stated that the police are not registering cases when complaints are filed by TDP activists, and accused the officials of acting favorably towards leaders of the opposition party (YSRCP).

He brought to the Minister's notice that the Panchayat Secretary is illicitly earning thousands of rupees by granting unauthorized permissions for illegal and blatant building constructions.

Madhubabu also emphasized his and his colleagues' efforts in ensuring the victory of the TDP. He mentioned that they had appealed to CM Chandrababu Naidu to allocate the Finance or Revenue portfolio to Payyavula Keshava.

Demand for Immediate Action

Madhubabu strongly criticized the two officials, alleging they are siding with the opposition party despite the change in government. He demanded the immediate transfer of the officials facing corruption allegations, stating that "though the government has changed, the attitude of the officials has not."

He further alleged that the CI has failed to control the rampant thefts and gambling in the town. Madhubabu requested Minister Payyavula Keshava to take necessary action against the corrupt officials to ensure good governance.
