Uravakonda True Times India, October 9

Anantapur: Leaders of the Banjara community have expressed their gratitude to the Central and State governments following the renewal of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) registration for the Rural Development Trust (RDT).

They extended special thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Janasena Party Chief and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and State Ministers Payyavula Keshav, Satya Kumar Yadav, and Sabita Indra Reddy for their dedicated efforts in recognizing RDT's services and facilitating the FCRA renewal.

Speaking to local journalists on Thursday, Banjara community leader Roopa Naik and Tanda Nangrer Naik S.K. Subrahmanyam lauded RDT’s prolonged, selfless service. They stated that the organization, operating since 1969, has left an indelible mark on the hearts of the weaker sections, including SC, ST, BC, and minority communities. RDT has undertaken extensive development programs in health, education, women’s empowerment, development of differently-abled persons, environmental protection, and farmer empowerment.

Key Highlights of RDT's Services

The leaders highlighted the organization's non-partisan commitment to development:

 * Health Services: RDT has established four hospitals in the district, providing modern facilities and daily medical services to thousands of people.

 * Educational Support: The trust has promoted education from the primary level to the university level, offering financial assistance to students from weaker sections and helping produce many doctors, engineers, and lawyers.

 * Non-Partisan Dedication: They emphasized that RDT's specialty is serving only the deserving, transcending boundaries of caste, religion, and political affiliation. The leaders noted that although the organization faced baseless accusations in the past, the intervention of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister validated the integrity of RDT's services.

The community representatives conveyed special thanks to all the public representatives and officials who assisted in the FCRA registration renewal on behalf of the people of the combined Anantapur district. They affirmed that RDT has earned a reputation as an unblemished voluntary organization in the Asian continent.
