A surface trough is prevailing from North Coastal Andhra and Odisha to South Chhattisgarh across East Telangana, up to about 1.5 kilometres above mean sea level. In addition, a cyclonic circulation is lying over the southwest Bay of Bengal and the Tamil Nadu coast, extending up to around 3.1 kilometres above mean sea level. Under the influence of these weather systems, rainfall activity is likely to continue across Andhra Pradesh for the next three days, according to officials from the Amaravati Meteorological Centre.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected at a few places over North Coastal Andhra and Yanam. Similar weather conditions with light to moderate rain or thundershowers are also likely at isolated places over South Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema districts.
