Allegations against C.I. Raju are False: We Joined TDP Voluntarily - Muddalapuram Villagers

Uravakonda :The residents of Muddalapuram village in Kooderu mandal, Uravakonda constituency, have clarified that they joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) voluntarily and that there is no truth in the allegations that Kooderu C.I. Raju threatened them. The villagers, who recently joined the party under the leadership of senior TDP leader Payyavula Srinivasulu, informed reporters about this on Friday.

It is known that the people of Muddalapuram village joined the TDP a few days ago. However, the villagers stated that the comments made by former Uravakonda MLA Visweswar Reddy during a press conference at the Ananthapuram party office on Thursday—claiming that C.I. Raju called them to the police station, troubled them, threatened them to join TDP, and asked them to meet Payyavula Srinivasulu—are false.

Joined after seeing Development:

"There is no truth in the allegation that Kooderu C.I. Raju called us and threatened us to join the party. We voluntarily joined the TDP after seeing the development work being done by Uravakonda Constituency MLA and State NDA Government Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav," they stated.

No Benefits Despite 20 Years in Congress and YSRCP:

The villagers also objected to former MLA Visweswar Reddy referring to them as SC people. "We have been in the Congress and YSRCP parties for the past 20 years. Yet, neither we nor our families received any benefits from your party. We belong to the BC community, but you did not even know our caste until now. Under such circumstances, our families, having understood the situation and seeing the good development programs undertaken by the State Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, and the works being carried out in the mandal and villages, joined the Telugu Desam Party voluntarily and of our own accord in the presence of Payyavula Srinivasulu," they explained.

Stop the False Propaganda:

They confirmed that there was no pressure on them to join the party and that the propaganda about C.I. Raju threatening them is untrue. "We joined the Telugu Desam Party willingly. Neither Payyavula Srinivasulu nor Kooderu C.I. Raju had any influence over us. No one forced us. Former MLA Visweswar Reddy Garu, we request you through this press conference not to engage in petty politics by spreading such false propaganda against us," they appealed.
