Uravakonda, November 9, 2025 — The seven-day Special Camp organized under the aegis of the NSS (National Service Scheme) Unit at the local Government Girls Junior College in Uravakonda commenced on Sunday. The event saw the participation of key officials, including Shasha Vali.
Camp Goals and Activities
The primary objective of this camp is to impart awareness to the female students regarding social service, discipline, and personality development.
Service Programs: As part of the camp, the students aim to establish village gardens/parks (Palle Vanalu) spanning 2 kilometers and plant 38 varieties of saplings.
Mental Development: Programs have been designed to create awareness among students on topics such as nutritious food (Poushtikaharam), cleanliness (Parishubhrata), and the role of women in society.
Discipline: Training will be imparted through a strict daily routine, which must be followed from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Official Oversight
The arrangements for this special camp are being supervised by the NSS Program Officer (NSS PO) and other faculty members. Organizers reported that the arrangements for the first day were satisfactory.
The participants in the program included the Principal, Shasha Vali (NSS Program Officer), Lecturers, Balakrishna, and Harika Kumar.
