President, Demands CCRC Cards for Temple Land Cultivators
Uravakonda, October 19:
Anantapur: The District Temple Tenant Farmers' Association has demanded that the government support tenant farmers, who are the backbone of agricultural cultivation in the state, and provide welfare schemes, particularly to those cultivating temple lands in the Uravakonda constituency.
Sri Pedda Musturu Venkateshulu, a representative and President of the District Temple Tenant Farmers' Association, put forth several key demands for resolving the farmers' issues.
Key Demands:
Issue of CCRC Cards: All tenant farmers cultivating temple lands within the Uravakonda constituency must be immediately issued Crop Cultivator Rights Cards (CCRC).
Extension of Annadata Sukhibhava: The State Government's prestigious 'Annadata Sukhibhava' scheme must be extended to all tenant farmers who already possess CCRC cards.
Subsidy for Chickpeas (Pappu Senagalu): Chickpea seeds should be supplied to all tenant farmers cultivating temple lands with a 90% subsidy.
Bank Loans: Bank loans up to two lakh rupees must be sanctioned to the temple land tenant farmers as per the 'Scale of Finance' norms.
Venkateshulu asserted that approximately 70% of the investment required for crop cultivation in the country is borne by tenant farmers, and therefore, the government must definitely support this crucial sector.
He appealed to the government to immediately consider these demands and provide financial relief to the tenant farmers.
Association President Sri Suresh, Tenant Farmers' Association leader Sri Vannooru Swamy, and others participated in the program.
