Mahbubnagar: The official poster for the Sadguru Sri Samasang Maharaj Mahabhog Mahotsav, the revered deity festival of the Banjaras, was released on Wednesday by Government RMO Dr. Hemalatha. She urged all devotees to participate in the three-day celebrations, which will take place from October 30th to November 1st, to receive the blessings of the deity.
Village Exemplifies Banjara Culture
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Hemalatha praised the region, stating that it is renowned as the only village that preserves the identity of the Banjaras, strictly adhering to their ancient customs, traditions, and culture even in the modern era. She specifically extended her gratitude to the village elders for protecting the relics of the Indus Valley Civilization.
Three-Day Festival Schedule
Kamal Singh Rathod, Chairman of the Banjara Foundation, unveiled the details of the festivities. The schedule for the three-day celebration is as follows:
October 30: Guru Nanak Jayanti celebrations.
October 31: Sadguru Sri Samasang Maharaj Jayanti celebrations.
* November 1: Vanabhojanam (community feast) program, marking the auspicious Kartika Masam.
Rathod added that Sri Maharaj, Lal Singh, a prominent figure from the Amritsar Sahib Gurdwara in Punjab, will attend as the Chief Guest, and a large number of devotees from the state of Karnataka are also expected to participate. Members of voluntary service organizations, including Hanumanthu, also attended the event.
