60 Years of Deceit... We Will Not Tolerate It Anymore.

- Valmikis' ST Reservation Must Be Restored: - We Will Intensify the Movement – Demands Chandracharla Hari

Uravakonda October 26:

Chandracharla Hari Valmiki, the leader of the community under the banner of Bahujana Yuvasena, has demanded that the government immediately restore the Scheduled Tribe (ST) reservation for the Valmiki community. Speaking at a review meeting of the Valmikis held on Thursday at the Valmiki Bhavan in Uravakonda, he called for the movement for ST reservation to be transformed into a massive agitation, escalating from the village level up to Delhi.

60 Years of Deceit, We Will Not Tolerate It Anymore!

Chandracharla Hari stated that for the past 60 years, Central and State governments have been deceiving the Valmikis. He criticized that the ST restoration issue is only included in election manifestos, but after coming to power, the matter is neglected and cast aside.

 * The Right Time: He asserted that since the TDP-Jana Sena alliance is in power in the state and the BJP is their ally at the center, they consider this the opportune moment and will not stop the struggle until the reservation is achieved.

 * Unity is Strength: He mentioned that only through unity among the Valmikis can they achieve ST reservation, thereby securing educational and employment opportunities, as well as social and political growth for their children.

Call to Make It a Massive Agitation:

Around 200 Valmikis from Uravakonda, Vidapanakal, Vajrakarur, Koodeeru, and Veluguppa mandals attended the review meeting held in Uravakonda.

Chandracharla Hari called upon activists to organize similar review meetings across all 14 constituencies of the undivided Anantapur district and to carry forward the movement to make the governments realize their negligence. He urged all elders, youth, and women of the Valmiki community to fight together for the cause.

Valmiki leaders D. Suresh, Narayanappa Munda, Obulesh, Susheelamma, Indravati, Surendra, Diddekunta Ramanjaneyulu, Sriramulu, Chukka Raju, Srilekha Teacher, Anumappa, Vannooru Ramanjaneyulu, Mopidi Ramakrishna, Kalyanadurgam Venkatesh, Kandepalli Ramesh, Basavayya, Vidapanakal Satti, and BC Malli, among others, participated in the program.
