According to police, Devakrishna had married Priyanka 12 years ago. Over time, she developed an illicit relationship with a man named Kamlesh. Unable to continue her marriage, she plotted to eliminate her husband.
Kamlesh reportedly paid ₹1 lakh to a man named Surendra to execute the murder. Three days ago, Kamlesh and Surendra entered the house at night and killed Devakrishna.
In an attempt to mislead the police, Priyanka filed a complaint claiming that unidentified thieves had entered the house, confined them in separate rooms, looted valuables, and killed her husband when he resisted.
However, during the investigation, police found that the valuables were intact, raising suspicion. Upon intense questioning, Priyanka confessed to the crime.
Police have arrested Priyanka, Kamlesh, and Surendra. The incident has created panic and outrage in the locality.
