BJP Unveils Massive Election Manifesto for Tamil Nadu Polls
The political atmosphere in Tamil Nadu is heating up as the Bharatiya Janata Party has released its election manifesto ahead of the upcoming state assembly elections. The party has announced a wide range of welfare schemes and financial assistance measures aimed at voters across different sections of society.Focusing strongly on women voters, the manifesto promises a monthly financial assistance of ₹2,000 to the woman head of each household. In addition, the party has proposed a one-time financial support of ₹10,000 per household, aimed at easing economic pressures on families.
To reduce the burden of rising fuel costs, the BJP has pledged three free LPG cylinders annually for each household, to be distributed during major festivals such as Pongal, Diwali, and the Tamil New Year. This move is expected to benefit middle-class and economically weaker families significantly.
For the farming community, the party has introduced the “Uzhave Thay” scheme, under which an additional ₹3,000 will be provided on top of the existing PM-Kisan support. This would take the total annual assistance for farmers to ₹9,000.
On law and order, the manifesto promises strict enforcement measures including a zero FIR system, enhanced protection for victims and witnesses, and fast-track courts for crimes against women. These measures are aimed at strengthening public safety and judicial efficiency.
The party has also proposed a dedicated anti-narcotics task force under a special Tamil Nadu Drug Elimination Unit to combat the rising drug menace in the state.
In addition, the manifesto highlights cultural preservation initiatives, including plans to revive traditional practices such as the lighting of the Karthigai Deepam at Thirupparankundram hill.
With these sweeping promises, the BJP has set the stage for a high-stakes electoral battle in Tamil Nadu, intensifying the political debate across the state.
