During the programme, mothers of children below two years were educated about the importance of proper nutrition and healthy food habits. They were advised to avoid giving outside food to children and instead provide freshly prepared homemade meals.
Officials emphasized the importance of including fruits, vegetables, and pulses in children’s daily diet to ensure proper growth and immunity. Mothers were also cautioned against feeding junk food, highlighting its harmful effects on children’s health.
In addition, awareness was created about the negative impact of mobile phone usage among young children. Videos were shown to explain how excessive screen exposure can affect physical and mental development.
A pledge was administered to the mothers, encouraging them to adopt healthy feeding practices and ensure better care for their children.
Anganwadi workers Nagaveni, Ambika, Sumita, and Sesikala, along with several mothers, participated in the programme.
Officials stated that such awareness initiatives play a vital role in improving child nutrition and promoting healthier communities in rural areas.
