A shocking and inhumane incident has come to light from Macherla town in Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh, where a woman government employee was brutally assaulted after a stranger forcibly entered her residence. The incident has sparked outrage and raised serious concerns over women’s safety.

According to the victim’s statement, she hails from Sattenapalli and has been working as a government employee in Macherla. She has been living alone in a rented house for the past one year. On Thursday evening, a man believed to be around 50 years old knocked on her door asking for water, claiming he was thirsty.

When the woman stepped inside to fetch water, the accused reportedly followed her into the house, threatened her with a knife, and forced his way in. He then intimidated her and committed a brutal assault. When the victim attempted to resist and escape, the attacker allegedly turned more violent, causing severe injuries.

The victim lost consciousness due to heavy bleeding. After regaining consciousness, she raised an alarm, prompting nearby residents to rush her to the Macherla Government Hospital. Due to her critical condition, doctors later shifted her to Narasaraopet for advanced treatment. She is currently undergoing medical care.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Special teams are working to identify and apprehend the accused.

Reacting strongly to the incident, Joolakanti Brahmananda Reddy condemned the attack and urged police officials to take swift action. He emphasized that the accused must be caught immediately and punished severely. He also assured full support to the victim and stated that such crimes against women will not be tolerated.

This horrifying incident in Macherla has once again highlighted the urgent need for stronger safety measures for women and stricter law enforcement.
