BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) stated that those who consume drugs while holding responsible public positions must be punished strictly. He said the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) strongly condemns involvement in drugs and any other illegal activities.KTR emphasized that those who consume or sell drugs should be punished strictly according to the law, regardless of their political affiliations. He also strongly condemned attempts to link the drug cases with the BRS party.
He said politicizing the issue and blaming the party without evidence is not appropriate. According to him, society as a whole must unite to fight against the menace of drugs.
KTR welcomed the suggestion made by Mahesh Kumar Goud that public representatives from all political parties should undergo drug tests. He reiterated that he has already stated several times that he is ready for any kind of test at any time.
“I am ready for any test, anytime. I have no connection whatsoever with these drug cases. However, if anyone tries to drag my name into these cases without any basis, I will send them legal notices,” KTR warned.
